Privacy Policy

HelloFeedback has no accounts and collects no personal data. The app does not connect to the internet. The videos, images and PDFs you open and the notes and drawings you add stay on your device and are never sent to us.

1. Data we collect

None. We do not collect, store or use any personal data — no name, email, phone number, location or device identifiers. There is no sign-in, and no advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs. The app contains no code that sends data over the internet.

2. Permissions and file access

Files (video, images, PDF)	When you pick a file or drop it on the app	Only the files you choose are read. They are not copied or uploaded; the app remembers where they are so you can reopen them.
Microphone	When you record the screen with your voice	Sound goes only into the recording file and is never sent to us.
Screen recording (Android: screen capture · iPad: screen recording)	When you tap the record button and allow it in the system prompt	A notification (Android) or status indicator (iPad) shows while recording. The file is saved only on your device — on Windows where you choose, on Android in the HelloFeedback album of your gallery, on iPad in the Photos app.
Add to Photos (iPad)	When a recording is saved	The app only adds the recording to Photos and never reads your photo library.

3. Data stored on your device

Notes and drawings — per-frame notes, annotations, bookmarks, ranges and FPS settings, in the app's private storage.
Library — name, location and size of recently opened files, the last frame you viewed, and group names.
Settings — view and tool settings.

Deleting the app deletes this data (files you exported, such as note PDFs, PNGs and JSON, and your original media remain).

4. Export and sharing

Note PDF, PNG capture and JSON export only create files where you choose. Sending them to other people or apps is your choice, and those apps' privacy policies apply.

5. Payment

HelloFeedback is a paid app sold on the App Store, Google Play and Steam. The store processes the payment; we receive no payment information. There are no in-app purchases or subscriptions.

6. Third parties

Since we collect no personal data, we share none with third parties.

7. Children

The app collects no personal data and works the same for users of any age.

8. Changes

If we ever add a feature that sends data off the device (such as cloud sync), we will update this policy before it takes effect and announce it in the app's release notes.
